Police lay charges following smashed window at local business

A North Perth resident has been arrested and charged following damage done to a local business.

On January 17 at 3:30 p.m., Perth County OPP officers were called to a business on Wallace Avenue North in Listowel. Officers determined that after a customer was denied service, the angry customer left the business and allegedly smashed a window on the way out. Police arrested and charged a 28-year-old North Perth resident with Mischief under $5,000.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charges. Anyone with information regarding this incident or who may have witnessed it is asked to call the OPP or Crime Stoppers.
