Local student raising money for Terry Fox Campaign

A ten-year-old grade six student at Oxbow Public School is continuing his efforts to raise money for the Terry Fox Foundation.

Brady Keller started raising money for the Terry Fox campaign four years ago. He raised just over $1,400 in 2019, $1,000 in 2020 and just over $1,00 dollars in 2021. His goal this year is $1,000 and he’s already raised $385. But he has introduced something this year. He’s running laps for the money he raises.

“Doing laps because that’s just what Terry did. And I want to try and be like Terry this year. Every ten dollars I make, I run that many laps. So if I make a thousand dollars, I run like a hundred laps. I don’t think it’s fair that people get stuck with this virus and they got no choice with it at all. So I’m trying to help them, trying to help get a cure for everybody,” Keller says

Brady’s younger sister has also started her own campaign and so far, she’s raised $220. Brady’s Terry Fox Donation page is https://schools.terryfox.ca/page/bradykeller.
