Weapons, jewelry among items recovered from local break-ins

A resident of South Bruce Peninsula is facing multiple charges after a police investigation linked him to five area break-ins.
Around 8 a.m. on Sept. 12, South Bruce OPP officers were called after tools were stolen from a property on Main Street in Tiverton.
Through the investigation, which included help from the OPP Forensic Identification Service and Saugeen Shores police, five break-ins were solved — four within Kincardine and one in Saugeen Shores.
Investigators recovered a large amount of stolen property, including tools, firearms, ammunition, jewelry, and alcohol.
A 26-year-old has been charged with six counts of possessing property obtained crime, three counts of theft under $5,000, break and enter, unauthorized possession of a firearm, failure to comply with a release order, and breach of recognizance.
