The province’s Special Investigations Unit is investigating a death that occurred in Owen Sound on Monday.
Officers with the Owen Sound Police Service were called to 4th Avenue East in the city at approximately 10:00 a.m. A man was arrested on warrants, but was released later the same day.
At 4:00 p.m., paramedics were called after a man went into medical distress at a Tim Hortons location on 9th Street East. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The SIU says two investigators and one forensic investigator have been assigned to this case, and note that a post-mortem examination is scheduled for this afternoon.
