WILLIAM J. MORRIS

William James Morris passed away peacefully on Sept. 8, 2022 at South Bruce Grey Health Centre in Kincardine.
He was born Nov. 19, 1931 and was shaped by the Scottish-Canadian neighbourhood of Bowie Avenue in Toronto.
Survived by his son Watson (Nini); nieces Nancy (Wayne) Feasby, Diane, Kathleen (Don) Gillespie, nephew David Ault and Susan (John) Gauch.
Predeceased by his wife Ruth Joanne Morris (née Langdon), sister Joan and brother-in-law Ted Ault, cousins Betty (Bill) Shaw and Bill (Evelyn) Paul.
You could often find Bill cooking up a gourmet storm at home or enjoying engaging conversation with family and friends. Bill had a seriousness that was engaging, yet entirely respectful of others. Often discussions with Bill would lead people to value more fully their own thoughts and ideas. A true scholar, he continued his passion for social-political theory, political strategy, religious studies and theology well into his retirement and final days.
From the Gospel of Thomas 70: If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth you, what you do not bring forth will kill you. (Ecclesiastes 10:1-20; Matthew 10:16-20)
Cremation has taken place.
