Lucknow’s Music In The Fields returns

After a two year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Lucknow’s Music in the Fields is back this summer.

ACM award winners Brothers Osborne will be headlining the event, along with performances by Chris Janson, Tenille Arts, The Sheepdogs, the Hunter Brothers, Slocan Ramblers, the Mudmen, the Practically Hip, and Ambush.

Marketing Director, Cheryl Johnston, says it feels great to be back.

“This is a Kinsmen Club event, and all of the proceeds go back to charity. Over the past 14 years, we’ve given back over $1.3 million dollars to charity. So it’s great to get back so we can give back.”

Johnston says in addition to the musical acts, there’s even more to look forward to.

“We’re hoping this year to have a VIP area which will be an exciting addition. A couple of years ago we added day programming, so additional activities for people to be doing while they’re at the event. Things like the mechanical bull.”

Johnston adds this event gives a good economic boost to the area. Tourists come from all over the province, and even as far as the States, and set up camp for the weekend and take advantage of the bus that runs from the event through town to allow for event goers to shop locally, and take in the sights.

However, Johnston says camping availability is filling up quickly, and suggests booking soon to guarantee your campsite.

Music in the Fields takes place August 25th – 27th at Graceland in Lucknow.
