Huron County OPP are on the scene in Zurich looking for a suspect involved in an alleged assault.
Officers were called to a reported assault at a residence on Main Street just before 8:00 a.m. this morning.
The assailant fled the scene on foot prior to police arrival.
The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital for treatment.
Huron OPP members, along with members of the OPP Canine and Emergency Response Team (ERT), are currently on scene assisting with this investigation.
Residents can expect to see an increased police presence in the area and are reminded to secure their property and always be aware of their personal safety.
