St. Marys offers New Year’s Eve fireworks

St. Marys will bid farewell to 2021 in a spectacular way!

Once again this New Year’s Eve, the Rotary Club of St. Marys is sponsoring fireworks shortly after 6:00 p.m. so that all ages can enjoy the superb show.

The show will originate from atop the Grand Trunk Trestle to once again light up the St. Marys skyline and allow for viewing in a socially distanced manner.

If people choose to watch from a location other than their residences, they are asked to wear masks and remain six feet apart from people not in their household.

The fireworks will be streamed live on the Town of St. Marys Facebook page.

On Friday, December 31, The Grand Trunk Trail between Ingersoll and Wellington streets will be closed from 12:00 p.m. to approximately 8:00 p.m. to allow for the show to be installed and cleaned up.

Viewers wishing to show their appreciation to Rotary via a donation have several options. From December 31 to January 1 donations can be made on the Town of St. Marys Facebook page via a Facebook fundraiser. As well, donations may be made directly to The Rotary Club of St. Marys via credit card at https://www.rotarystmarys.ca/donate or by e-transfer to RotaryClubofStMarys@gmail.com.

Notice of cancellation due to weather or COVID-19 restrictions will be posted on the Town of St. Marys Twitter and Facebook pages.
