Three local fire crews are on-scene at a fire in a vacant building in Minto Township.
A release from Minto Fire this morning confirms that all three of their stations are currently on scene of a major structure fire in the Town of Palmerston. All three stations were paged out around 9:00 a.m. to a vacant building near the downtown. Listowel and Harriston aerial trucks are assisting, alongside firefighters from Drayton and Moorefield.
No one was in the building and there are no injuries reported. Minto Fire says some homes in the area are being evacuated due to the amount of smoke in the area, and a warming centre has been setup at the Palmerston Arena for those affected. More details as they are made available.
