It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Alison “Allie” Hayes (née Hewitt), at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre – Kincardine on Sunday, July 10, 2022, at age 90.
Dear wife of the late Charles “Charlie” Hayes (2002).
Beloved mother of Marlene Cooper of Kincardine, Larry (Diane) Hayes of Teeswater, Randy (Linda) Hayes of R.R. #2, Cargill and Brenda (Mike) Schumacher of R.R. #3, Mildmay.
Sadly missed by her nine grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Fondly remembered by her brother Ron (Janice) Hewitt, in-laws Fern Hewitt, Burton (Judy) Hayes, Alvery (Marg) Hayes, Marion Hayes and Alex Nivins and Pat Hayes and by several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents James and Violet (née Schular) Hewitt, son-in-law Ed Cooper, siblings Francis (Mabel) Hewitt, Edwin Hewitt, Wilbert (Eunice) Hewitt, Audrey (Norman) Bonnett, Donna (John) Carter and in-laws Nathanial Hayes, William Hayes, Earl Hayes, Agnes Bushell, Sam Hayes, James Hayes, George Hayes, Marie Wonch, Beatrice Nivins, Nellie Hayes, Nelson Hayes, Alice Hayes and Harold Hayes.
Allie enjoyed the company of family, neighbours and friends. She loved gardening and was very proud of her flowers and vegetables.
Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home in Kincardine, from where the funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 15, 2022, with Rev. Rob Hiscox officiating.
Interment Kincardine Cemetery
