The MPP for Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound has announced $872,500 will go to 21 local groups thanks to the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s Community Building Fund.
Some extra long-term care funding has been confirmed for the riding of Perth Wellington.
The Ontario government will provide up to $270 million this year to long-term care homes to increase staffing levels by 4,050 new long-term care staff across the province.
The province is providing additional funding to seven local hospitals in Huron and Bruce counties.
The new campaign is called Shining the Light.
Five local healthcare providers are receiving additional government funding.
Five local hospitals within Perth-Wellington will be splitting just over 3.9 million dollars in government funding.
