Tribes and Forest Service host 2-day Shared Learning for Co-Stewardship

Staff from the Superior National Forest and three Bands of Chippewa Indigenous Nations recently met in Grand Portage, Minnesota, to engage together on “Shared Learning for Co-Stewardship.” The two-day training addressed Indigenous tribal sovereignty, treaty rights and trust obligations, traditional ecological knowledge, and tribal stewardship priorities.
