A majority of city politicians voted Tuesday to formally reprimand their colleague, Ward 4 Coun. Susan Stevenson. The sanction was recommended by the city’s integrity commissioner, who determined Stevenson violated city council’s code of conduct after an investigation into her social media post that included photos of apparent homeless people with their faces visible, with accompanying commentary about crime and vandalism. Stevenson disputed the findings, arguing she was not properly notified of the investigation or given a chance to respond.
