Stratford police probe suspicious fire outside elementary school

Police are asking residents of northwest Stratford for their help as they investigate a fire that broke out behind St. Aloysius Catholic Elementary School.
On Monday morning, Stratford police issued a statement to Twitter regarding a “suspicious overnight fire” that caused severe damage to the gazebo behind the local school.
St. Aloysius is located at 228 Avondale Avenue, just a short distance from the Huron Street intersection.
“If you have any information or video from this area of town please contact us,” police urged.
