The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating the theft of four pickup trucks from residences in Fergus.
On August 28, police responded to four separate reports of Dodge Ram 1500 pickup trucks being stolen from Fergus homes between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m.
A suspect was seen in the area and is described as having a thin build and wearing all black with a reddish toque.
The stolen vehicles and license plates are listed below:
• 2022 Dodge Ram 1500 Grey Sport with license plate BN88315
• 2022 Dodge Ram 1500 Silver Big Horn with license plate BL82705
• 2022 Dodge Ram 1500 Silver Sport with license plate BB83541
• 2021 Dodge Ram 1500 Black Sport with license plate AN96683

OPP reported that all the vehicles were locked and the keys were all accounted for.
Vehicle owners who use proximity keys are being urged to take extra steps to protect their vehicles by parking the in a garage, or storing the key in a protective pouch or as far away from the exterior of their residence as possible.
