The Owen Sound Hospital Foundation’s 31st Annual Charity Golf Classic was a big success this year.
A release from the foundation says this year’s golf tournament raised $94,000 on June 3rd at the Legacy Ridge Golf Club. Funds were raised through golf registrations, sponsorships, generous donors and an online auction, all in support of the event that drew 144 golfers. Since its inception 31 years ago, the Charity Golf Classic has raised over $1.5 million to support the purchase of new medical equipment for the Owen Sound Regional Hospital.
The Owen Sound Hospital Foundation thanks all the sponsors and golfers who contributed to the amazing fundraising total this year.
“Thanks to all of our golfers, sponsors, volunteers and everyone who helped make the day an amazing success,” says Denise Reid, Chair of the organizing committee. “We are thrilled to have raised $94,000 in support of healthcare in our community.”
“What a fantastic day of golf in support of a great cause.” adds Amy McKinnon, CEO of OSRHF. “On behalf of the OSRHF, we extend a heartfelt thanks to all of the golfers, sponsors, volunteers and Denise Reid and her planning committee. We are overwhelmed by the support of everyone involved. Thank you all.”
