Saugeen Shores Police hold free electronic data destruction event

In support of fraud prevention month, the Saugeen Shores Police Service is partnering with the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) to host a free electronic data destruction event.

It’s being held at the Plex in Port Elgin on Wednesday, March 23rd, from 10am-3pm.

Residents and businesses can bring their unwanted electronic devices to dispose of them safely.

SSPS says devices that are storing “sensitive data” will be securely destroyed or wiped clean, and data storage devices will be destroyed on-site with the use of ERA’s shredding machine.

For more information on recycling electronic devices, head to the ERA website.
