More than a week after she went missing, the search for a 10-year-old believed to have fallen into Whirl Creek near Mitchell resumes Monday morning.
Crews from Mitchell, Milverton, and North Perth were back along the banks of the creek at 8 a.m. Sunday and despite searching all day, found no sign of the girl.
Chief William Hunter says he is getting offers of help from as far away as the United States and says their efforts have not diminished.
In a tweet Hunter said “everyone wants to find her to give the family some closure.”
It was 1 week ago…a missing child in the water…searching began immediately & our efforts have not diminished. I’ve been overwhelmed with offers from help from across Ontario & even the US. Everyone wants to find her to give the family some closure.#Thanks for your support. https://t.co/viIDxlOqCR
