Project Clean Lake has reduced combined sewer overflows in the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District coverage area by 1.7 billion gallons annually over the last decade, greatly reducing the amount of raw sewage making its way into streams and lakes at several locations. Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding picked to build wind farm service operation vessel
Fincantieri Marine Group announced Wednesday it has reached an agreement to design and build a 288-foot, Jones Act-compliant service operation vessel (SOV), a purpose-built vessel used to transport technicians to service offshore U.S. wind turbines. Hull breach sends 1,000 gallons of diesel fuel into Lake Michigan
Roughly 1,000 gallons of diesel fuel is believed to have spilled into Lake Michigan through a hull breach on a stricken freighter.
