The owners of the Seaforth Golf Club were hoping to celebrate their 60th anniversary last year. But the pandemic thought otherwise.
“So we decided to, as they say in golf, take a mulligan and try it again in 2021, but with the closures and all of the other limitations to numbers of people that can be inside or outside, we’ve, sort of, toned everything down, looking towards the fall,” says co-owner, Carolanne Doig,
Doig says they’re looking at possibly doing something in September, October, November and December. “We did have something planned for every month, and maybe have a variety of events, you know maybe a dinner or a banquet or a dance, or an outdoor garden party or something, just to celebrate the fact that we have been here for sixty years.”
Doig adds, it will be a little different this year because of the recent passing of her father, who co-founded the golf course with his brother Rod Doig.
