Grey Bruce reports 27 cases of COVID-19

The Grey Bruce Health Unit says nearly 72.3% of the eligible population have at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, and 48% have two.

15 residents are hospitalized with the virus, and six of them had to be transferred to hospitals outside the region.

There were 27 new cases in the region.

Seven of the cases were Saugeen Shores, five in Arran-Elderslie, five in Owen Sound, two in Saugeen First Nation, two in Neyaashiinigmiing, two in Grey Highlands, two in South Bruce, one in Georgian Bluffs, and one in Meaford.

There are 187 active cases.
